StartupAlert.net 1.1

There are several things you are going to like about the software application called StartupAlert.net. Sadly though, there are also a few bits and pieces you are not going to like about this software application.

Let’s get things started on a positive note, with the bits and pieces you are going to like. First of all, you are going to like the fact that StartupAlert.net is freeware. To my mind freeware applications are simply the best. You can use them for as long as you want and you don’t have to pay for anything. Now isn’t that great? You can spend your hard earned money on other things.

You are also going to like that the installation process of StartupAlert.net goes smoothly. Once the application is up and running, you are going to like the functionality it can provide. What can StartupAlert.net do? In a nutshell, it will inform you when your computer started and when it shutdown. Every time your computer starts or shuts down, StartupAlert.net will send you an email informing you about it. The email contains simple system information.

Sadly though there are a few things you are not going to like. The first thing you’re not going to like is the fact that the download will take forever to complete. Waiting a long time for a download to complete is never a good thing. Once the download completes and you want to install StartupAlert.net, you are not going to like the fact that you cannot select the directory where the application will be installed. It will be installed by default in C:/Program Files. After you go through the installation process, you are not going to like that StartupAlert.net asks you to restart your computer. Last but not least, you will not like the fact that you have to register and get a serial number for StartupAlert.net. Registration is free, but I can be a bit of a nuisance.
